Mars Wilson

Biography

Mars is a 2020 Graduate of Kalamazoo College's Theatre Arts program with a concentration in Women, Gender, and Sexuality. He is a member of WOW Café Theater in Manhattan, New York and has worked with them to improve trans and non-binary inclusion within the collective. While having a performance heavy background, Mars has been focusing his artistry on playwrighting and directing recently. Man and Moon is his debut as a director outside of K College, but has collaborated with Queer Theatre Inc. for a virtual 24 hour new play festival in June of 2020, as a playwright. He’s beyond excited and honored to give Man and Moon the run it deserves after being deprived of its production in the fall of 2020. As an artist, Mars is driven to advocate for Trans/Queer visibility in theatre and drama through an anti-racist, anti-imperialist lens while exploring the magic of dramatic theatre with experimental methods.
